5 Cool And Unusual Things To Do In Bangkok

Getting sick of touring temples? Is Khoa San Road getting boring? Check out one of these weird Bangkok attractions.

1. Unicorn Cafe

I took my friend here as a surprise. He was not very happy with me. I, however, was in heaven. I got a hamburger that tasted more like the meat I was used to in the U.S. and a unicorn cake. It was pretty.  It tasted amazing.

2. Big Dog Cafe

Missing your pets at home? Just head to the Big Dog Cafe. Grab some grub and feed these humungous dogs a treat. They’re also home to a couple of rare wolf mixes, a Komondor, and a Tibetan Mastiff.

3. The Ghost Tower

This one is not for the faint-hearted. And its not exactly legal either. Bangkok’s Sathorn Unique skyscraper was supposed to become a premium luxury apartment complex, now its reffered to as the Ghost Tower. It was shortly opened for tourists in 2018 but was closed back down in February of 2019. Rumor has it that you can bribe one of the guards to get inside. Or you can just sneak in.

4. The AirplaneGraveyard

Take a boat out to the abandoned property and you can have full access to explore a grounded 747 and take all the instagram photos you want (let’s face it, we know you’re there to take instagram photos). Expect to pay 200 baht per person. Thought the place is technically abandoned there is a family that lives there and they will charge you.

5. Sky Bar

Okay so this one isn’t weird but it is definitely a sight to behold. This  place might look familiar if you’ve seen The Hangover 2. The rooftop bar at Lebua Hotel boasts colorful views of the city at night and has been named one of the world’s best rooftop bars. Though at upwards of $30 USD a cocktail I recommend making it your last stop for the night.
